Cesar is a 26-year-old cosmetologist and yoga enthusiast who’s been given the charming nickname “hungry hole” by his co-workers. As part of a new series of BUTT After hours, Cesar was asked to come to the BUTT office by our photographer friend Hanser, who helped us interview him.

BUTT: What did you do right before you got here?
Cesar: This morning I went to Bikram yoga, and then I got some lunch.

What is Bikram exactly?
Bikram is the same 26 poses all the time in 115 -120 degrees (Fahrenheit, of course). It never changes, it’s all about the same thing. Its about compression, where you are kind of restricting blood flow to certain parts and then letting go and putting oxygen in some parts more than others. The heat releases toxins and and get your body a little bit more pliable. I like walking out of there and feeling like I might die.

Like you might die?
Yeah, I like to be drained.

Do you usually wear all black?
I’m colorblind so I dress mostly monochromatic. But I’m also gonna take this test to get certified as a cosmetologist and hairdresser and for that you have to wear black.

If you’re a cosmetologist and you’re colorblind, how do you do makeup?
Technically I’m allowed to, but I don’t.

Who’s your favorite politician?
I don’t really have one.

So you weren’t one of the millions who got mobilized for Obama?
Well you see after the last two elections, I really felt sorta discouraged. I was like “At this point, I wouldn’t really take anything.” I really just didn’t care. ButI it’s also my personality; any scenario where I’ve been betrayed or hurt in some way, then I give up. I need to learn to trust. I it all goes with my “daddy” thing.

What do you mean with your “daddy” thing?
I usually date older men. Not necessarily to be taken care of financially – I have too much pride for that – it’s more that my dad was an alcoholic and he wasn’t around very much, and my mother was crazy abusive and I’m assuming, analyzing myself, that with an older man I feel comfortable and protected. Also I think that sexually younger men aren’t quite as experimental or aggressive for me. I really like to be really submissive, and it might be a whole mental thing.

Do you have a boyfriend now?
No, but I just had my first boyfriend last year. And actually he was younger, 24.

How was it?
It started out pretty good. We didn’t have sex for two months – he had intimacy issues. So when we did have sex it was okay, but when I wanted to take it further, it wasn’t okay. I’m a bottom and I like to get pissed on but he wasn’t really into it.

When did you first get pissed on?
It wasn’t until I moved here actually, because I knew so many people in LA. I didn’t really know anyone in New York and I was like I’m just gonna do everything I always wanted to.

New York set you free?
I think it would have happened in any city where I didn’t know anybody. But now people at work call me hungry hole, there’s this whole running joke about my hole being its own separate entity.

I noticed you cross your arms in front of your chest a lot. Are you self-conscious?
I always wear layers so I’m used to something being covered. I feel awkward a little.

Did you ever wear braces?
No.

Were you ever fat?
No.

Were you made fun of as a kid for being ugly?
No I was made fun of for being gay. I had a girly voice. When people used to call the house they thought I was one of my sisters. I had a big sister and she used to have to look out for me at school.

Aww that’s sweet though. What’s your background?
Guatemalan.

Are you proud of your butt?
Sometimes. My hair makes me a little self-conscious.
