BILL MURPHY: Born in ‘Biggest Little City in the World’, Reno, Nevada, in 1965, Bill was apparently on his way to Nicaragua to join the Contras, when an AMG scout discovered him. According to PP, Kenneth Anger planned to use him in a movie about the slaying of Ramon Novarro, who was reportedly tortured and killed by a pair of brothers/hustlers in his Hollywood home, for a mere $20. Bill considered his best feature his defined body, and his worst, the curls in his hair. Bruce Lee was his favorite actor. After appearing in a series of photographs he moved to Albuquerque, NM, never to be heard from again.
GERALD OGLESBY: In the short-run publication, AMG Raw, Gerald is referred to as a 23-year-old who can ‘obviously take care of himself.’ He is also noted as being six-feet tall, and an army veteran with a love of kung fu, water skiing, and etymology. Countless photographers described him as a sweet, mild-mannered guy, but in The Big Penis Book Dian Hanson recounts a story that contradicts his reputation. It turns out Gerald went on to tie up, rob, and set fire to one unlucky photographer’s apartment. He loved cocaine, and can be seen sporting a very long pinky nail in many of his photographs for AMG. The ‘Subjective Character Analysis’ symbols accompanying his photos in Physique Pictorial describe him as a married, fun loving, yet expensive hustler, open to topping and bottoming. Gerald was born March 13, 1952. He stood 6’ and weighed 189 lbs. when this photo was taken.
KEVEN BRYANT: Keven was born in a trailer park in Arizona, to a mother who, in a strange case of foreshadowing, fell for her son’s obvious sexual prowess. After fleeing his lecherous keeper, he became a kept man, living with a famous Hollywood actor, who introduced him to photographers like Bob Mizer and David Hurles. Keven would have been set for life, except that he was caught fucking a mare in the Pacific Palisades and sent to prison. While he was away, his Hollywood daddy found another boy to lay his love on. Keven had no place to go when he was released, and ended up back home with mommy.
STAVLOS AEOKOMAS: From 1984 to 1990 Stavlos appeared in front of the AMG cameras nearly 90 times. Despite his prolific posing, photos of Stavlos are extremely rare. At 6’5” and 190 lbs., he towered over his fellow models. Stavlos was a real joker, and a bit of a nomad. Depending on when you asked, and who you were, he might tell you he was from Albuquerque, NM; or Woodbridge, VA; or Wichita, KS; or Springfield, MI. No matter when you asked though, he’d tell you he was 21 years old. Stavlos loved 60s rock and roll, and lived his life like a rock star, until, at the height of the 80s health craze, he kicked all ‘chemical dependencies.’ In countless wrestling videos Stavlos can be found ‘cuttin’ wind’ to disable his opponents. He currently works as a trucker, giving some credence to his claims of origin.
DWAYNE COX: Unfortunately there is no additional information on Dwayne, but his incredible outfit speaks for itself.
PANTERO EL SALVADOR (aka Manuel Alfaro): Pantero’s story is somewhat of a mystery. Unlike most AMG models, he never posed for another studio, and he never tricked. Pantero was a good Roman Catholic, with a big family to take care of. He met Bob while doing some yard work in the neighborhood. Hard up for cash, he put his piety on hold for a series of three sittings with Bob. He returned once in the early 80s, looking as if his religious fervor had worn thin.
DAKOTA BRADFORD: Born to Puerto Rican parents in Queens, NY, Dakota Bradford arrived in L.A. in his early twenties. He was a sweet and surprisingly sensitive straight guy, who happened to sleep with men for money. Dakota studied martial arts extensively, and fancied himself a bodybuilder. He had a weakness for cocaine and would go on to inadvertently ruin the career of one of Bob’s closest friends and fellow photographers, David Hurles. Dakota was showing off his karate skills for a photo shoot when a stray kick hit David’s camera, rendering one of his eyes virtually useless. Like so many AMG models before him, Dakota ended up in prison, where he remains today.
CHARLES HUBER: When he appeared in Physique Pictorial, at the age of 20, Charles was 5’9”, 155 lbs., and employed as a salesman at a lamp shop in Hollywood. Like everyone else in LA, Charles was an aspiring actor. Though he bares a vague resemblance to Nicholas Cage, he doesn’t seem to have had much success as a mainstream actor. His favorite performer was Johnny Carson. He is cut and of Irish and Austrian decent.
TYRONE JONES (aka TJ Swan): In his second Physique Pictorial appearance, Tyrone is described as 5’9”, 150 lbs. and 25 years old. He appeared in multiple hardcore videos for Filmco and Foreplay and ‘would probably be very well off by now except that he spends almost all of his money on a ‘lady’ who wears a white dress and is very demanding and cruel…’ (P.P. No. 40) Tyrone had a pretty serious love for nose candy too. He shares a name with a small-time Hollywood actor, and the late great Ol’ Dirty Bastard. He appears on the cover of Intropics Video’s 1987 bisexual release, Switch Hitters, ‘An integrated bi-sexual romance that covers every base.’ He also appeared in Black Lust, White Passion 1 (Filmco), Blondes and Black Meat 1 (Bacchus Releasing), and Monsters and Size Queens 1 (Pacific Sun Entertainment).
