As we mentioned on Monday, director Travis Matthews is in the process of casting for a feature film about gay men featuring real sex, based on the BUTT Magazine: In Their Room videos he creates for our blog. He’s already got one of his stars and now he’s searching for someone to play the love interest. And what better place to find someone than on the BUTT BLOG? If you’re able to bottom on camera and have some naturalistic acting ability, read on to see if you fit the bill. Good luck!
‘IN THEIR ROOM filmmaker, Travis Mathews, is in pre-production on a feature and in search of male talent. This is a paid ($500) gig that involves naturalistic acting and real sex.
Before going into full production Mathews is filming a demo scene in San Francisco in late February. He’s in search of a mid/late 20s man to play opposite, and bottom to, the lead whom is already cast. Are they really doing it? Yep. Is it just a fuck scene? No. The 15 minute demo is as preoccupied with sex as it is the playful and intimate narrative preceding it.
To be considered for this part, you must: • be available for full Sat/Sun daytime shoot in addition to 2 rehearsals in SAN FRANCISCO during the last 2 weeks in February • be in your mid 20s-early 30s • be comfortable naked, having sex on camera and bottoming (with condom) • have a naturalistic acting ability with some comfort improvising • bring part of yourself to the character • have equal access to a playful sexuality and a thoughtful interior world. • be available for a screen test in SAN FRANCISCO
If Interested, email Travis Mathews: • at least 2 photos of yourself, a face and body shot • reason for interest • previous experience • anything that might be important for us to know about you • what city you live in • questions you might have about the scene/feature, actor playing opposite you, logistics.
If you don’t meet some of the criteria there still may be a part for you in the feature. Contact Travis with all inquiries: travisdmathews

how startlingly swift is al parker’s dismissal of other people’s work! yikes! under the holier-than-thou (tired) tone, i sense some clear and present FEAR. look away, al parker…otherwise, you just might get hit upside the head with something new and even beautiful that you might not actually know what to do with. though i doubt you’d recognize such a thing (a.k.a. good ART) if it sat on your sweet face. live and let live, al…it’s the artist’s way.
xoxo
and p.s. no, they don’t want you in the movie.

I wish I could do this but I’m too young, scrawny and oh yeah insecure. Can’t wait to see the final product.
Jay Smith added on January 20, 2010 :
This sounds like a potentially enjoyable film to me. Also, another example of why, as an adult performer myself, I wish I were younger to fill parts like this.
