R.I.P. Arpad Miklos

All of us at BUTT Headquarters were very sad to hear our buddy Arpad Miklos took his own life this past Sunday at the age of 45. His death came as quite shock considering when I checked-in with him last August, Arpad seemed pretty chipper — going about the daily business of being an in-demand porn star and very much looking forward to a trip to Alaska with a friend. A lot of people didn’t know that he was quite the outdoorsy type.

Ever since he appeared in BUTT 24, Hungarian-born Arpad was a reader favorite. If you’ve never watched one of the sixty or so porn films in which the top man stars, you should. Unimpressed with life in ‘the happiest bunker’ of the Eastern Bloc, Arpad left behind a career in chemistry and was eventually discovered by director Kristen Bjorn. Arpad was what they call ‘a natural’ in front of the camera and brought a warm screen presence to every scene.

Arpad’s heart was as big as his filmography. He was the first to say yes when BUTT wanted to immortalize him on a beach towel for the benefit for the Ali Forney Center, the NYC organization providing housing and services to LGBTQ youth. He’ll be missed…
