R.I.P. Steve Strange

Steve Strange, the London club personality and singer of New Romantic act Visage, was a man with his heart in the right place. His dedication to style and self expression was — and will continue to be — inspiring. When we met in the late 70s, Steve was dressed head to foot in Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood’s Seditionaires clothing. His hair was spiked, and he had pixie boots on. I will never forget his passion when working out a look. He would parade his latest outfit for my approval before we ventured into the night. We never thought our little one-nighter, the Blitz, would be become so influential. We just loved dressing up.
