In 2002, East London face Calvin, as photographed by Andreas Larsson in BUTT No. 9, began an occasional zine that took a pair of cheap shears to the predominating celebrity culture engulfing Britain’s lite news agenda. The mainstream had Heat. The margins got Hate: a six issue compendium of tart asides skewering the twenty-first century celebrity skill of turning your life into a marketing plan.
