Being well aware of BUTT’s preoccupation with life drawing, Casey Spooner brought that life drawing group in Fire Island to our attention back in June 2011. Bound by their love of the male form, and looking to revive the art colony vibe of The Pines, founder Carlos Pisco and friends hang out, drink wine from a box and sketch their brains out.

It’s all very ‘Boys in the Sand’ meets Fire Island Pines Historical Preservation Society. New Yorkers get a peek of all their hard work tonight at the Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, which is actually the first dedicated LGBTQ art museum in the entire world. Amazeballs!

Check out ‘Boys of Summer: Artwork from the Pines Nude Drawing Group‘ at the Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, 127‐B Prince Street, NYC 10012. Opening reception is tonight, 5 April 2013, from 6 to 9 P.M.
