BUTT 2011 May 23 to 29
Photography by
Matthew Williams
Matthew Williams is drawn to the male form in photography — ‘the ridges of the shoulder blades, the shape of the abdomen, the angles of the limbs, and the contrast of hair on skin’ — and its juxtaposition with nature. Like the ephemeral landscapes he places them in, the young men’s bodies (like Sean’s) in Matthew’s portraits are always changing.
