Hi,
I’m Tom. I’m a writer in New York City. I’ve lived here for five years. When I first arrived and was looking for work, I made a deal with myself that I would spend the second half of every day exploring the city. I did this for six months and barely scratched the surface. In 2008, my good friend Abi and I started Gayletter, a weekly guide to fun stuff happening in the city. For the BUTT Fag Map, I selected my favorite bars, parties, and places to visit in NYC. It covers a lot, but of course not everything, this grimy city of ours is most fun when you get out there and discover a few things on your own. Enjoy!

Thanks for mentioning Buddies, Adam. Of course, as the host/DJ, I am biased, but I think Tuesdays are better than Mondays at Nowhere, if for no other reason than you can actually get laid at Buddies. For free. Well, maybe you’ll have to pay for a few drinks, or the cabfare back to his place, but not for the sex.
