Hi,
I’m Adam, your Fag Map correspondent for New York City. I’ve lived in the city for over ten years, and grew up in the suburbs of nearby New Jersey. I’ve witnessed firsthand New York’s unfortunate development from gay nightlife capital of the Universe to the sanitized, dullish place that nearly everyone complains about. Still I find there are wild and creative people throwing fun parties, but the better ones are the ones that happen on a monthly basis or at people’s houses. If you can make it to one of those, you’re guaranteed to have a far better time. Anyway, there’s so much here for you to do you’ll never be able to take it in all at once, so relax and let the waterfall take you where it may.

Thanks for mentioning Buddies, Adam. Of course, as the host/DJ, I am biased, but I think Tuesdays are better than Mondays at Nowhere, if for no other reason than you can actually get laid at Buddies. For free. Well, maybe you’ll have to pay for a few drinks, or the cabfare back to his place, but not for the sex.

As many of the BUTTs are artists, i think it would really be helpful to list on this page some underground/indie/awkward music, and art places to be absolutely seen.
