All month BUTT is dedicating itself to the most artsy fartsy art fags in the known homo-universe. These two fists belong to British artist Carl Hopgood. They’re a kind of self-portrait he has titled ‘Rough Diamond’, and are in fact solid fiberglass resin casts of his own fists covered in diamond dust.
Originally exhibited in a disused toilet of Taylor Square in Sydney, Australia for a show called ‘Fuck Love’, Carl’s inspiration for this work comes from his experience of being bullied when he was a young homosexual in Wales: ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!’ More about the handsome artist Carl here.
