Beauty tip dispatch from the polar vortex… Butthead Calvin and friends like to head up to the U.P., AKA the Upper Peninsula, that patch of land sandwiched between Lake Superior and Lake Michigan, to escape the doldrums of the city and chillax. It’s super re-energizing to get naked and hop to and from the wood-fired sauna to the ice-cold water. Here, Calvin steps out onto frozen Lake Superior.

Calvin explains his routine: ‘It’s a treacherous run from the sauna. The hardest part is willing yourself into the water, but as soon as you get out of the hole, your skin feels tingly and warm.’
