This lovely package, photographed by legendary Dutch dancer and choreographer Hans van Manen, graces BUTT’s monthly splash page for November. Van Manen was primarily known for his austere and erotically-charged approach to movement — his formal choreography established him as the Mondrian of ballet — but he was also an avid photographer. Here he is clearly under the influence of Robert Mapplethorpe, with whom he was friendly.
