Twink B&B

No, Asbjörn doesn’t run a bed and breakfast for twinks. He’s a photographer, of course… Who could forget his haunting photo of Steve on last month’s splash page? Then again, maybe a twink residence is something he’d consider. In his hometown of Munich, Germany, he’s surrounded by drop dead gorgeous boys. He and his camera are increasingly a kind of magnet for this type of svelte pre-stud.

Happy to help a friend in need, Asbjörn’s door is always open it seems. That’s exactly how he came to know his buddy Tobi, 19, who was kicked out of his own home for being gay and wound up couch-surfing.

Asbjörn’s series here is a good example of the kind of warm domesticity that permeates his body of work. He likes to shoot his crushes, boyfriends, best friends and acquaintances at home, as they read, draw, snooze or just sip a comforting alcoholic beverage.
